Let’s use our creativity, expertise and love to support victims
Designers & Creative Teams Against Domestic Violence was born when founder and victim of domestic violence herself, Karina Gomez-Herrera made her vision and passion of helping domestic violence victims a reality.
Our mission is to facilitate a violence-free-environment where we can offer a network of services to survivors such as therapeutic counseling, self-development, education, and job training, in the garment industry, which will promote job growth and economic development to the individual and to underutilized business zones in our community.
To facilitate a haven for survivors by bringing awareness, self-healing, and self-sufficiency. DCT will have a state-of-the-art building to offer an array of services and training. Services include psychological, holistic, and creativity therapies through the development of Design, Art, and Music skills. Training is primarily focused on Fashion Design and Sewing which will enable survivors to secure their first job within our network. By proudly producing “Made in USA” top-quality goods, DCT will contribute to the economic development of the historically underutilized business zones by positively influencing job growth in the community and in the garment industry.
